If you want to look better and feel better or you simply want to enjoy the comfort of knowing that you are healthy, it is sometimes frustrating and depressing to hear and see people and experts showing different formulas, trends, charts and graphs. Name it, they have it.
Thankfully, we can somehow make things easier for us by bearing in mind that there are simpler yet healthier options in life.
1. Eat small frequent meals.
Instead of devouring three large square meals, you can boost and pump up your metabolism all throughout the day by consuming five to six (some say five to eight) small meals in one single day. With small frequent meals, it is expected that you choose the healthier options. It’s a different story when your small frequent meals consist of food items from the nearest fastfood outlet.
2. Make it a habit to survey the scene first.
You’ve done your shopping every so often but have you noticed just how storekeepers or grocery managers tend to fix their products? For the most part, a lot of the healthier and better stuffs are actually in the outer lanes of the grocery store. So, if you want the vegetables, fruits, leaner proteins and whole grain products for you, it is advisable that you survey the outer lanes and to not give in to temptation and go for the inner aisles where you might end up grabbing the nearest and newly packaged junkfood of choice.
If you ain’t familiar with the displaying method, it is always okay to ask your store clerk or to survey with a full stomach for a few moments and then proceed to where you should be. Simple, isn’t it?
3. Memorize the equation.
The equation is all too simple. If you want to maintain your figure, go ahead and eat the same number of calories that you burn (during exercise and other activities). If you want to gain weight, you must eat more calories than you burn. Ultimately, if you are bent on losing weight, you have to eat fewer calories than you burn. Simple again, right?
4. Throw the soda away.
There’s simply no argument needed when we talk about softdrinks. Apart from giving you empty calories, you also have a higher tendency of suffering from bone problems and you also may suffer from cancer. Simple. And then, do you need more explanation?
5. The Rule of Five
Always remember this very simple rule: five servings of vegetables and fruits every single day will not only make you healthy but will also avoid the possibility of suffering from any sort of illness. That’s simply it!
6. Dump the junkfoods.
Choose the healthier options. Why not? When you eat one value meal, you consume calories that is supposed to be consumed for one whole day. Scary, is it not? So, if you’ve had nothing for breakfast and then eat at (Put the name of your favorite fastfood outlet.) and then aftersuch, enjoy an indulgence in the evening and midnight, you end up gaining weight and in the long run, getting sick.
You will always the choice. It is always up to you to know what you should choose and do.
